If you read between the lines and keep up with gaming industry news, it's an educated guess that should the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard be finalized, it's highly likely that all of the US publisher's titles, including Diablo IV, will be coming to Game Pass. That closed period runs until March 19 and then starting March 24, there will be an open beta that anyone can jump into.
In the meantime, if you preorder the game, you can hop into a closed beta starting tomorrow, March 17. But Diablo IV is out June 6 perhaps there's time for plans to change (although I'm not betting on it, personally).
